Attendance Policy

Consistent attendance is essential for steady progress. While we are committed to helping your child succeed, we request your assistance to ensure regular attendance.


Cancellation notices.
All cancellation notices should be emailed to admin@LJLearningWorks.com or relayed via phone at (858) 456-4569.

Rescheduling Sessions. If you need to make a one-time change to your child’s scheduled session, we will make every attempt to reschedule the session. If we are not able to reschedule the session, you are still financially responsible for your weekly time slot and will be charged the full cost of the missed session. Sessions rescheduled with two or more weeks’ notice will be changed with no additional fee. Sessions rescheduled with less than two weeks’ notice will be subject to a charge of $35/hour (i.e., $52.50 for 1.5-hour session or $70 for 2-hour session). Rescheduled sessions must be conducted within 4-weeks from your prior billing date. Rescheduled sessions will be booked no more than two-weeks in advance and are the Client’s responsibility to book before they expire.

If sessions are consistently canceled or rescheduled by the client, we reserve the right to amend your child’s schedule to free up his/her time slot for another student who can attend with consistency.

No Shows. If a student is absent without notice for a regularly scheduled session, you will be responsible for the full billing rate of that session.

Assessment Cancellations.  We require 48-hours notice for assessment cancellations.  In order to cover our administrative time in preparing assessment materials, you will be responsible for paying a cancellation fee of 10% of the assessment costs for cancellations that are made with less than 48-hours notice.  If your assessment is scheduled for the weekend, please make sure to contact the office to notify of a cancellation by 10:00am Thursday morning.
